Eastern White Pine
A beautiful fine needled pine, the Eastern White Pine is the state tree of Michigan. White pines grow best in a well drained soil that is slightly acidic to neutral. Use caution here in Ann Arbor with our alkaline soils and heavy clay in many areas. They might not fare so well in these locations.
